Karen Jaynes, eRYT

 

Karen Jaynes, eRYT 200 is the CEO & Founder of All Ways Yoga, LLC, a Yoga and Wellness Company based in Fairfax, Virginia, USA.

 

All Ways Yoga is a Karmic company with a mission and committment to the care and enlightment of others through the practice of yoga on and off the mat.  We offer guidance to those wanting to live a more holistic, healthy and authentic life, led by an environmental consciousness and desire for sustainable living.  All Ways Yoga believes we can all age well and stay active by incorporating balanced lifestyles and managing stresses through practice and good choices.

 

Karen is a Yoga Alliance recognized teacher and has earned her 200 eRYT certification through YogaFit based in Southern California.  She has been practicing yoga for over twelve years beginning in Redondo Beach with Cissy Brooks as the first of her many inspiring teachers.  She has been teaching yoga for over nine years. Karen leads her company full time by teachingmulit-genreational students at all levels of yoga classes and offering life style counseling on stress and energy managment  through seminars, retreats and personal consultations.  She is also an ordained minister through The Universal Life Church Monestary.  She officiates weddings, commitment ceremonies and other special occasions as a celebrant and host and is a spiritual leader and guide.  

 

Ms. Jaynes brings to the mat a unique style that integrates her many years of gymnastics, dance and martial arts training.  Her versitality and certifications allow her to teach to a diverse population of practicioners ranging from preschool age children to seniors well into their 70's and 80's.  Her classes range from gentle classes suited for those recovering from injury and illnesses to advance level classes. She has extensive experience teaching those with speical needs and with specific physical conditions.

 

Karen's classes integrates the great principles of yoga into practice when she teaches.  She creates the holistic environment of mind, body and spirit through deliberate physiolgical and kinesthetic purpose of pose, diverse spiritual connections and through yoga philosphies and teachings of our current great thinkers.  To this dynamic, she adds the power of orchestrated playlists resulting in experiences without boundaries and full of possibilities.

 

When she is not teaching, you will find Karen in a few books at a time as an insatiable reader, writer and student, discovering new music, using essential oils, sharing healthy, environmentally-conscience products, and adoring her amazing two children, Owen the Farm Cat, and reminicing about her recent farm life, organic gardens hens and bunny.  She is also a current featured writer in the eMagazine, Bliss and you will find her writings in the Yoga Corner.

 

Karen is active in the promotion of heathy living for young woman currently battling breast cancer, their advocates and survivors through the Tigerlily Foundation.  She has taught yoga through their organization to women running for the cause in the Annual Pink Boa 5Ks in Reston and Fairfax, VA and to Moms and Daughters participating in the First Bi-annual Pajama Glam Party Event In Washington, D.C. in 2012.  See Her link on www.Tigerlily.org here.

Karen Jaynes & Tigerlily Team Up at 5K

 

She teaches yoga, meditation and stress mangement to Girls Scouts ages 6 through 13 and helpes them to acquire their "Stress Less Badge" and the "Every Girlscout is a Girlfriend" Badge among others.  She has also worked with teens in learning how to manage their daily stresses becoming more confident and accepting of themselves and overall healthy through yoga, meditation, breathing and relaxation techniques.  She currently offers and teaches an afterschool Yoga Enrichment Program for Preschool and Elementary School students in Fairfax County.
